Name Origin
The names of the three New Lanes are known from the beginning of the 20th century and reflect the later appearance of the lanes in comparison with the neighboring streets. The original name - the 1-3rd Sakhatsky lanes - is due to the fact that there lived a participant in the Patriotic War of 1812 , a retired captain, holder of the Order of St. Vladimir Mikhail Sakhatsky . His descendants lived here until 1917.
Description
The 2nd New Lane starts from Krasnoprudnaya Street, runs southeast parallel to Nizhny Krasnoselskaya Street , goes to the 1st New Lane opposite the 3rd New Lane.
