Adar Yale

Adar Yale, Block 3, 7 ( Eng. Adar / Yale ) - an oil field in South Sudan , which is located in the north-east of the country, in the state of Upper Nile . Opened in 1981 . Field development began in March 1997 . Initial oil reserves are estimated at 150 million tons.

Currently, there is a main oil pipeline - from the Blok 3 and 7 fields to an oil refinery near Khartoum ( Al-Jaili ), and further to Port Sudan .

The operator of the field is a joint company Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company , which includes the Chinese oil company CNPC (41%), the Malaysian oil company Petronas (35%), the Chinese oil company Sinopec (6%), the Sudanese oil company Sudapet (9%) and private Al-Thani's face from the UAE (9%). Oil production in 2009 amounted to 12 million tons.
