Voronezh cave is a karst cave located on the lower plateau of the Achibakh massif in Abkhazia . Length 460 m, projective length 365 m, depth 128 m, area 750 m², Volume 3800 m³. The entrance is located in a karst funnel in the Northern spur of the karst basin of the 3rd meadow (which has a stream and a lake).

Parts of the Cave
- The entrance sloping part consists of small (5-12 m) wells, allowing you to go down to a depth of 105 meters. It ends with a narrow impassable (8 m) manhole leading to the middle part of the underground channel of the stream.
- The underground channel has a length of about 150 m, a height difference of 40 m, begins with narrowness and ends with a closed siphon.
Cave Content
- The host rock is massive Lower Cretaceous limestones.
- Water is an underground stream.
- Air - no air movement and gas contamination.
- Deposits. Block-landslide only in the entrance part. Acute in the upper part of the underground stream (dam and stalactites).
- People are speleotourists. Not everyone succeeds in squeezing into the lower gallery.
- There is no garbage in the cave.
- The equipment necessary for visiting the cave is a 40 m rope and grabs.
Study History
- May 1973. Found during inspection of funnels in the third meadow (Golyanov E.V., Golyanova N.E.). Passed to the skipper Nikolsky (depth 70 m.)
- August 1974: Passed (Golyanov E.V., Golyanova N.E., Nikolsky S.N., Bykova L.) to the skinner at the end of the inclined part (depth 105 m. The sound of water was heard behind a low hole).
- September 1976 An 8-meter skin-skipper (Golyanov E.V., Golyanova N.E., Sukochev V.I., Kalashnikova N.) was passed, behind which the bed of an underground stream was discovered. Mapped.
- August 1981 Launch of 1 kg of fluorescein into an underground stream to determine where the water exits the stream. No exit location found.
