Vladimirskaya Square was located at the crossroads of Voskresenskaya Street (now Mira Avenue ) and Dubensky Lane ( Paris Commune Street ).
The square is named after the Vladimir Children's Shelter for Girls. Vladimirsky Orphanage was opened in 1848 - it became the first orphanage in the Yenisei province . The shelter was located in the two-story house of the college adviser Golubkov. At the shelter was a two-year school for women. The lane on which the shelter was located began to be called Vladimirsky (Priyutsky), and then was renamed Dubensky Lane.
The governor of the Yenisei province L.K. Telyakovsky rented an apartment in the house on the square.
In a two-story building on the square, Vasily Timofeevich Gadalov arranged a hotel (on the upper floor), on the lower floor - a farm equipment shop, which created inconvenience to the then governor L.K. Telyakovsky, their mutual claims were sorted out in court.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a square was destroyed on Vladimirskaya Square , which the townspeople called the “city kindergarten”.
In 1921, Dubensky Lane was renamed the Paris Commune Street .
In 1935 , to organize bus traffic, the city streets were expanded and demolished two squares: on Vladimirskaya Square and on Pokrovskaya Square (at the Pokrovskaya Church ).
