Biography
A. V. Yudin was born in 1921 in the village of Sadovy [2] in a peasant family. Russian nationality.
Drafted into the Red Army during World War II, April 5, 1943. Since June 12 of the same year in the army.
He took part in the battles in the position of gunner during the crossing of the Dnieper and fortification on the captured bridgehead. On October 2, 1943, in the vicinity of the village of Mishurin, the Horn of the Verkhnedneprovsky District of the Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine hit an enemy tank, destroyed four firing points and up to ten enemy soldiers. He died in this battle.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 22, 1944, for the exemplary performance of command missions during the crossing of the Dnieper River, the development of military success on the right bank of the river and the courage and heroism of the guard shown, Junior Sergeant Yudin Alexander Vasilievich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously.
He was buried in a mass grave in the village of Mishurin Rog of the Verkhnedneprovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
