Civil War and Interwar Time
In 1918 he joined the Red Army. Participated in the battles of the Civil War . Since 1918 - Red Army soldier , then commander of a cavalry platoon of the 136th rifle regiment of the 16th rifle division under the command of V. I. Kikvidze . From January 1920 - commander of a platoon of the 3rd rifle division. From April 1920 - commander of the squadron of the 82nd cavalry regiment of the 14th cavalry division of the First Cavalry Army . In their ranks he fought on the Southern front against the troops of generals P. N. Krasnov and P. N. Wrangel .
In 1921 he graduated from the military-political courses. He served in the cavalry , commanded a squadron in the 55th cavalry regiment, was an assistant chief of staff of the cavalry regiment, chief of the 1st part of the headquarters of the cavalry division. In 1926 he graduated from the Kiev United Military School. Member of the CPSU since 1928 .
From 1932 he served in the communications troops . Since 1936, Assistant Inspector of the Cavalry for Communications of the Belarusian Military District . In 1938 he graduated from the Red Army Military Electrotechnical Academy . He was head of communications of the 57th Special Rifle Corps in Mongolia , and in the position of Head of Communications of the 1st Army Group of Forces he participated in the battles at Khalkhin Gol . Since 1940 - Head of the Communications Department in the headquarters of the Trans - Baikal Military District , since October 1940 - Head of the Communications Department of the Far Eastern Front .
Great Patriotic War
From October 1942 - in the army on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War : deputy commander of communications troops of the Western Front , from November 1942 - head of communications department of the Southwestern Front , from October 1943 - head of communications department of the 3rd Ukrainian Front , from June 1944 - Head of the Communications Department of the 2nd Ukrainian Front .
In 1945 - Head of the Communications Department of the Trans-Baikal Front , took part in the Soviet-Japanese war .
Post-war time
From 1946 - Head of the Communications Forces of the Trans-Baikal-Amur Military District . From 1947 - Head of the Communications Department of the Commander-in-Chief of the Far East . In 1951 he graduated from the Higher Academic Courses of the General Staff Military Academy and was appointed Chief of the Communications Forces of the Air Forces of the USSR . Since 1953 - Head of the Central Courses for the improvement of officers of the communications troops. From February 1957 - First Deputy Head of the Communications Forces of the USSR Ministry of Defense . From April 1958 he was the head of the Ground Forces Communications Forces . From November 22, 1958 - Head of the Communications Forces of the USSR Ministry of Defense. The military rank of Marshal of the Communications Forces was awarded on May 6, 1961 .
From February 25, 1970 - Military Inspector-Advisor of the Group of General Inspectors of the USSR Ministry of Defense . He lived in Moscow . He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery .
