The first success at the international level came to Michal in 1996, when he became a bronze medalist at the short distance at the world championship among students . [four]
In 1999, he participated in the World Championship among military personnel, held in the Croatian capital Zagreb , where he took second place in the classic distance. [four]
In 2000, at the resuming European Championship [5] Yedlichka as part of the relay team ( Vladimir Luchan , Michal Yedlichka and Rudolf Ropeck ) won silver medals. [6]
In the same 2000, at the World Championship among military personnel he again became a medalist at the classic distance. [four]
At the 2001 World Championships, held in Finnish Tampere , he won bronze medals in the relay. [7]
