Tikhonov, Alexander Nikolaevich (linguist)

Alexey Nikolaevich Tikhonov ( November 20, 1931 , Potashevka - March 16, 2003 , Moscow ) - Soviet and Russian scientist- linguist , lexicographer , expert in the field of Russian Derivatology . The scientist has made a significant contribution to the development of the principles of compiling nested word-formation dictionaries, theoretical problems of a word-formation nest .

Biography

Born in Bashkiria .

From 1947 he worked as a teacher of the Russian language in Tajikistan .

In 1955 he graduated with honors from the philological faculty of the Samarkand University named after A. Navoi. In 1956-1968 worked as a lecturer, associate professor of the Russian linguistics department at the Samarkand University. In 1968 he became pro-rector of the Samarkand Pedagogical Institute.

In 1974 he defended his doctoral thesis "Formal-semantic relations of words in a word-formation nest" .

In 1978, he was elected head of the Russian language learning sector as a means of interethnic communication of the Russian Language Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He worked as a leading researcher at the Institute of Russian Language and at the Research Center "Languages ​​and Cultures of Northern Eurasia".

On March 1, 2001, on his initiative, the Laboratory for Educational Lexicography at the Ye . A. Bunin Yelets State University was formed.

He was buried at the Rakitki cemetery in Moscow (10 km from Moscow Ring Road on Kaluzhskoye Highway ).
