Raizing became one of several companies created by former employees of Toaplan , a well-known developer of scroll-shooters for arcade slot machines , after its closure. Other companies were Cave , Takumi and Gazelle . All of them continued to produce scroll-shooters, in particular their manic variety. Raizing continued to use Toaplan arcade equipment years after its closure.

The company also employs several former employees of another major scroll-shooter developer, Compile . In particular, these are the developers of the game Musha Aleste , including Yuichi Toyama.

In October 2000, Raizing became part of Eighting, and the company has since ceased releasing arcade scrolling shooters, focusing on the game market for game consoles. Shinobu Yagawa, a designer and programmer who worked on a number of scroll-shooter companies, including Battle Garegga and Battle Bakraid, joined Cave .
