History

By the registered Highest Decree of July 15, 1800 , the state (subsequently secret) adviser Ivan Andreevich Poroshin was granted, for the service of his brother, Semyon Andreevich, educator of Emperor Pavel , 20,000 dessiatines from treasury lands: 15,000 dessiatins in Simbirsk and 5,000 in Saratov provinces . In the Simbirsk province, they allotted land to him in different places and from the general dacha of the village of Gryaznuhi, in the upper reaches of the Gryaznushki river, separated a separate plot in 1649 tithes of 980 soot [2] . Here Poroshin settled his peasants, founded a village named Ivanovka by the name of its founder; the founder himself called it Pavlovka, in honor of Emperor Paul. This plot of land, in full, was subsequently acquired from Poroshin, the wife of lieutenant Praskovya Yakovlevna Simogulova, and passed from her, by inheritance, to her son, captain Yakov Ivanovich Simogulov, who sold the estate in 1878 (1088 dss. 1200 soot) to the girl Elizaveta Aleksandrovna Spring, and in 1882, Prince Ivan Mikhailovich Obolensky, the current [3] owner , bought from her.

When the peasants were liberated, the Ivanovo society was allotted, for 251 (85 yards) 760 acres of cultivated land planted for 30 (30 dessiatines for the estate, 583 desserts 1920 for arable land, 16 dessiatines for 1760 soot pasture and 130 dessiatines for small forests, converted now to arable land). Currently in with. Ivanovka 137 yards, with a population of 1046 people (508 men and 538 women). In view of the lack of allotment land, the society leases 600 acres of arable land from the inheritance. On the river Gryaznushka, in the vicinity of the village (Ivanovka is located at the keys of Smorodinny and Golovnoy, serving as the source of the Gryaznushka river), local peasants have three water mills, and in the village of Prince Obolenskago there are two such mills.

As a feature of the local population, it is impossible not to notice that all the peasants with. Ivanovka extremely tall - a healthy and beautiful people.

Church in a. Ivanovka was built in 1869 , but in 1881 it burned down, and in the same place, on the land of Prince Obolenskago, in 1882, the current, also wooden, church was built in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

In 1884, a parish school was opened here.
