Early Period

The history of the band began with the fact that ex-member of the Fakkil band, bass guitarist Oleg Safonov, joined the group of drummer Alexander Silin. Alexander (Confurik) Volkov played the rhythm guitar. Oleg’s friend, a former bandmate, Alexander (Killmaster) Mazurkevich was approved for the solo guitar. The vocalist was Ruslan Borisov. The concept of the group was simple - “severity, speed, arrogance”.

The group’s birthday is April 4, 1994 , when a concert-action “Epidemic of Bloodshed” took place in the house of pioneers of the Brateevo district. The concert filmed a local TV. The show used props in the form of gallows and scarecrows stuffed with ketchup. In the erotic show, 3 local beauties and a basin with water were involved, in which the girls posed as mermaids. As a result, there was a full house, rowdy in the stalls, undressing of the female audience in the hall, and the organizers of the concert almost lost their jobs.

This was followed by about a year of sluggish existence, rare concerts and self-published recordings, as a result of which A. Volkov and R. Borisov left the group.

The group gets acquainted with Vadim Stepantsov , he offers his help in the form of texts and vocals. Work begins on the material. Oleg sat down on a guitar and gave out several melodies per day for each text. Everything went easily, quickly, without hesitation, but Sasha Mazurkevich unexpectedly dies. The reason has not yet been disclosed by the police. The version of the song “Urki” was included on the album with Stepantsov. In the studio " Megasound " there are new guitarists - Sergey (Max) Maximov and Vladislav (Vampire) Bugakov. The composition was also firmly joined by accordionist-populist Pavel Budarin. He was hooked from the passage to the subway and brought to the group "a certain grabbing and lyricism." Thanks to Stepantsov, frequent concerts followed - from prestigious clubs such as Manhattan to touring in the outback, recording at studios and shooting in various television programs. In 1995, the album "Urki rule the world." A little later, the group released a second disc entitled "Travel to Hell, Iroquois and Machine Gun" in 1996 , the studio "Megasound").

In the first album, Vadim Stepantsov sang all the vocals, and Oleg Safonov performed the hype.

In the second half of the album, Sasha Confurik, who returned to the group for a short time, sang, the rest of the album was sung by Oleg, which is almost imperceptible, since the voices of both were indistinguishable. The musical style of the time can be described as follows: heavy punk rock'n'rol with Russian folk motifs and banter lyrics. Both albums were recorded “in punk style”, in the style of their time - characteristic melody and drive with sound quality below average.

1997-2007

In 1997, Vadim Stepantsov introduced “LosOn” with a colleague in the “Order of the Courtyard Mannerists” Constantin Grigoryev . A former member of the Bakhyt-Kompot duet made a lasting impression on punk rockers with their ideas and cunning. Grigoriev turned out to be very prolific - having a magical suitcase at home, he repeatedly dumped a mountain of self-made records and manuscripts on Safonov. In general, according to the musicians, it was easier to work with Grigoriev than with Vadim Stepantsov: he willingly made it possible to redo his texts, easily remade the texts of "Elk", was generous in ideas. With its help, “LosOn” moves from infinite, reckless songs to a higher level in music, where there are melodies, self-irony, although in some places heaviness and drive are lost.

“LosOn” takes part in the “Rock landing in Malta” festival, and Ekaterina Bocharova (former “Girls”) sings in the group at that time. Since 1998, Anton Grachev, a former member of the Jest group, has become the vocalist . In the team, Anton took root easily, from the previous vocalists he was favorably distinguished by increased jumping ability, quick wits and photogenicity. He brought the stage completeness and a peculiar charm to the group. During this period, Dmitry Ivanov ( Epidemic ) and Valery Tsarkov ( Sergey Penkin's collective) stood behind the keys. At that time, the song “ Sex, Booze, Rockenrol ” appeared, a super hit that is now being performed by the group of E. S. T. with constant success . The albums “I Will Marry!” And “Wooden Coat” are recorded, after which Oleg Safonov leaves the group and begins to collect participants in their solo project “Slang”.

The new team gathered quickly enough and represented friends: S. Tishin (leader of the Moscow River group, known under the pseudonym “Artist”), guitarist A. Kucherenko, O. Safonov (bass), A. Silin (drums). As a result, the old “lotion” runs up, and Oleg and the company return the old name to the new team. “Vampire” Bugakov returns to the group, and the new album “Why is it so light for me” comes out. The album also included 2 songs by A. O'Shannon . The key hits are "Dancing" and "Old Maple" . Alexandra Pakhmutova personally demonstrated a cover of this work. Silin went to her house and presented a new version of the song over a cup of tea, simultaneously describing the situation in the group. I liked the rock version so much that Ms. Pakhmutova gave all the rights to release without monetary compensation. The album turned out to be the most commercially oriented, there was very little left of the “punk”, it was more like melodic guitar rock with a great influence of Britpop.

Over the years, the group has been actively giving concerts, participating in the festival " Invasion " 2001, many different bike shows.

In 2006, Lotion recorded one of its best albums, entitled Antiporn. Instead of the silence from the Artist group, Natalia (Natalie De Blange) Vereshchagina records the vocal parts on the album. The album was warmly received by critics - against the background of hard guitars, Natalie's piercing and expressive vocals took root in the subject. The excellent arranger A. Kucherenko played his role. The Britpop has disappeared, the music has become simpler, more powerful and more melodic. Antiporn contains the largest number of hits - Million, Jack Pot, Heroes, Cyborgs, Kolyan, and other hits that people liked.

2007-2008

Having run a new album in public and celebrating the 12th anniversary, the group once again changes its composition: Anton Grachev - vocals; Safonov Oleg - lyrics, bass; Kostin Dmitry - drums; Pashan Korneplood Korneplodych - guitar, arranger; Polevsky Boris Viktorovich - guitar.

Having decided that “the drive should be bigger”, the group decisively gets heavier, having decided in a timely manner that the number of songs is enough, and the quality should be improved. Almost a year the band spends rehearsing and creating a new sound.

The culmination of these efforts was a tribute album called “Sports suit” ( 2009 ), where the group's songs were performed by Pavel Molchanov ( Time-Out ), Alexander (Chacha) Ivanov ( Naiv ), Vadim Stepantsov ( Bakhyt-Kompot ), Jean Sagadeev ( E .ST. ), Sergey (Spider) Troitsky ( Corrosion of Metal ), Dmitry Spirin ( Cockroaches ), Valery Skroded ( Mongol Shuudan ), Yuri Arkhipenko ( Chronicle ), Sergey Vvedensky ( Birmenheim ), Pavel Avdonin ( Bottle Up & Go ), Dmitry Sudzilovsky ( Thirteenth Constellation ), Alexander Korsunsky ( Sherkhan ), Alexey Abramov ( Rek-Tek ).

Heavier, the group changes its composition again. A wonderful drummer Artyom Aslanov, known for his session game with different bands ( Perun , Kupriyanov ), is invited to the drums. Vladislav Kornilov becomes the vocalist, as a result of which the vocals become almost extreme. For the first time in history, a wind instrument appears - a saxophone (Sergey Danilin ( Perun ), which does not at all spoil the general brutality of the new sound.
