Ammonites of the Pugachevka River are a natural monument of regional importance of the Sakhalin Region .
Formed by the decision of the governor of the Sakhalin region [1] . The nature monument is located in the Makarovsky urban district of the region, at two sites in the valley of the Pugachevka . It is a complex of outcrops of Late Cretaceous sedimentary rocks containing a large number of nodules (rounded concretions) with ammonite shells .
The main features of nature: the stony banks of the river Pugachevka and coastal scree.
