Biography

She graduated from the Leningrad State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov (1959) and graduate school (ibid., 1962). In 1957-1979 - the soloist of the Lenconcert , in 1979-1985 - the Mosconcert . She taught chamber singing at the Leningrad Conservatory (1959-1979) and the Russian Gnesins Academy of Music (1979-2006), professor.

The repertoire of N. Yu. Yureneva included both classical chamber vocal music of the 18th-19th centuries, and music of the 20th century - Mahler , Berg , Stravinsky , Shostakovich , Weinberg . Nadezhda Yureneva is the first performer in the USSR mono-opera “The Human Voice” F. Pulenka (1965) and “ Anne Frank Diary ” G. Frida (1968), vocal cycles “Russian Notebook” by V. Gavrilin (1965), “Songs of Freedom” S. Slonimsky , vocal cycles of B. Tishchenko, G. Belov, V. Uspensky and others. The singer participated in concert performances of the opera The Cloak by J. Puccini , The Castle of the Duke of Bluebeard by B. Bartok , The Carriage of Maestro Pedro by M. de Falla and others. N. Yureneva collaborated with such musicians as D. Shostakovich , R. Shchedrin , O. Salmanov , Yu. Levitin , Yu. Falik , K. Kondrashin , G. Rozhdestvensky , K. Eliasberg , N. Rabinovich and others.

Has toured in the USSR and abroad: East Germany , France , Finland , Yugoslavia .

I recorded 6 records. N. Yu. Yureneva worked for many years in the jury of the chamber vocal competition “Amber Nightingale” ( Kaliningrad ). More than 300 people graduated from her class. Nadezhda Yureneva was awarded the Veteran of Labor medal.

Since 2009, the Youth Festival of Chamber Vocal Music named after Nadezhda Yureneva has been held in Moscow [1]

  • Father - Yuri Petrovich Yurenev (Knyazhinsky) - composer and conductor, graduate of the Moscow Conservatory. I changed my name to be able to graduate.
  • Mother - Maria Ivanovna Letnikova - “singer with a wonderful timbre of voice, silver soprano”, actress, artist, participant in the Great Patriotic War. After the war, she sang in the choir of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Leningrad.
  • daughter - Natalia Knyazhinskaya-Yureneva (born 1970) - singer, vocal producer, teacher [2] [3] .
