Nicholas Frederick Brady ( born Nicholas Frederick Brady ; born April 11, 1930) is an American politician, 68th US Treasury Secretary under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush .

Biography
Brady was born in New York . In 1952 he graduated from Yale University with a bachelor of arts degree, then in 1954 he graduated from Harvard University with a master 's degree in business administration .
From 1954 to 1988, he worked at the investment bank Dillon, Read & Co., in 1970-1988 he headed his board of directors.
Brady begins his political career with his appointment as governor of the New Jersey Senators [1] , in return for the retired Harrison Williams. He held this post for a short time, from April 20 to December 27, 1982, was a member of the Senate Committee on the Armed Forces . I did not try to be re-elected.
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan appointed Brady Chairman of the Presidential Commission. During 1983, Nicholas Brady worked on the commissions for the Armed Forces, Security and Economic Support, and for Central America [2] .
September 15, 1988, he becomes the 68th US Treasury Secretary. In 1989, after several countries could no longer pay their debts, Brady developed the so-called “Brady Plan”, which consists in converting developing countries' debt into dollar bonds .
In 1994, Brady founded the investment fund Darby Overseas Investments, Ltd. He was also a trustee of Rockefeller University in New York.
