Name Origin
The name arose in the 18th century. From the XIV century there was a village over the Great Pond, later - the palace Red Village . In the XVIII century, the Red Village became part of Moscow. Definition Lower distinguishes the street from the Upper Krasnoselskaya street .
Description
Nizhnyaya Krasnoselskaya Street starts from Krasnoprudnaya as a continuation of Upper Krasnoselskaya , runs southeast, the 1st New Lane departs to the left of it, crosses the railway lines of the Kazan direction , Olkhovskaya Street , then Yelokhovsky passage goes to the right in front of the Elokhov Cathedral, ends on Spartakovskaya street. On the square. formed by Spartakovskaya street, Elokhovsky passage and Lower Krasnoselskaya, is the Elokhov Cathedral .
