Gladshteyn, Leonid Isaakovich

Leonid Isaakovich Gladshtein - Russian materials scientist , doctor of technical sciences , laureate of the State Prize in 1977 for the creation, mastering of production and the introduction of high-strength steels in construction.

Born September 28, 1928 in Barvikha , a graduate of MATI , more than 30 years led the department of materials science at the Central Research Institute of Steel Structure named. Melnikov . He created a methodology for developing the composition of high-strength building steels, hardened with small additions of nitrogen and vanadium, taking into account the requirements for strength and processability during welding. The author (together with D. A. Litvinenko) of the book "High-Strength Construction Steel", Metallurgy, Moscow, 1972, P. 239., and numerous scientific articles.
