History
In 1977, a football team was created at the mine "Lugansk number 1". The Shakhtar team began performing in the championship of the city of Lugansk , which was considered a level above the regional championship.
In the 90s, a stadium was built in the village of Yubileiny , to which the team moved, previously speaking on the field of the Lugansk Agricultural Institute. In 1993, the famous goalkeeper of the Dawn Alexander Tkachenko was invited to the position of head coach of the team. Before the arrival of Tkachenko, Shakhtar did not have a professional coach for many years. At that time, the Pitmen began to play in the championship of the Luhansk region , which gradually gained popularity. The team was supported by the head of the mine site, Vladimir Skubenko. Shakhtar regularly won prizes in both city competitions and regional ones.
In 2000, the team was headed by Yuri Pogrebnyak . In fact, there was a union of the two strongest amateur clubs of the region at that time - Hellas-Energia and Shakhtar himself. The president of this club was Oleg Nikolaevich Kotevich. The new team immediately became the champion and owner of the Regional Cup, and in the spring of 2001 started in the amateur championship of Ukraine . At the end of the season, Shakhtar became champions of Ukraine among amateurs and received the right to participate in the 2002/03 season in the second league . In the first season, the team became the second in their group, and the next season was forced to withdraw from the competition.
