History
Staro-Peterhof prospect, d.20.
The Red Triangle is the first rubber factory in Russia. It dates back to 1860 , when Ferdinand Krauzkopf established the Russian-American Rubber Manufacturing Partnership under the Triangle company (TRARM). The partnership had the right to label products with the state emblem for the high quality of products presented at the Moscow Manufacturing Exhibition of 1865. All products also had a factory brand in the form of a triangle, inside of which the year the partnership was established was 1860, the name of the partnership was “T. R. A. R. M. ”and the place of production -“ S. Petersburg ”.
In 1918, after nationalization, based on the traditional triangular shape of the factory brand, the plant was renamed the "Red Triangle".
In 1930, the tire industry based on the Red Triangle was reorganized into the Leningrad Tire Plant, which became the basis of the domestic tire industry.
In 1932, the plant began to produce synthetic rubber .
In 1962, the Leningrad Tire Plant became part of the Red Triangle production association.
October 21, 1967 for winning the socialist competition and marking the 50th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution , the Red Triangle team was awarded the memorial banner of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Council, the Council of Ministers of the USSR and the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions. The banner was left in the collective for eternal storage as a symbol of labor valor.
After 1990, the Leningrad Tire Plant withdrew from the Red Triangle association and, ultimately, in 1994 was transformed into Petroshina JSC .
According to the adopted "weighted" estimate of output, the volume of tire production of the "Red Triangle" was:
1913 - 290 tons,
1923-1924 - 402 tons,
1924-1925 - 1386 tons,
1925-1926 - 1159 tons,
1926-1927 - 1509 tons,
1927-1928 - 2070 tons.
The 15th workshop of the enterprise in Soviet times was in Vsevolozhsk in a building that local traditions relate to the period of the Swedish occupation. She gained fame as the Red Castle .
Recent History
The Federal Tax Police Service in 2000 seized the assets of the enterprise. In May 2001, bankruptcy proceedings were instituted against Red Triangle OJSC. And in July of that year, bankruptcy management of the enterprise was introduced with a debt of 260 million rubles. In May 2002, the company was declared bankrupt by a decision of the arbitration court. The bankruptcy proceedings of the Red Triangle ended in 2005.
Since the beginning of the 2000s, factory buildings and the territory as a whole have been in poor condition: most of the plant’s premises are abandoned and dilapidated, many windows are knocked out, courtyards are not cleaned. This fact makes the territory of the former factory for the production of rubber products attractive for lovers of aesthetics of abandoned buildings. Illegal excursions are organized into the territory of the Red Triangle [3] , groups of people enter the territory through public checkpoints, and then the organizers carry out into abandoned buildings, as well as onto the roofs of these buildings. These excursions are considered illegal, since the buildings where people are taken are usually owned by someone, but are simply not used at the moment.
At present, the territory of the plant belongs to the companies ZAO Museum and PSG-SPB Red Triangle LLC, several shoe companies work in separate buildings of the industrial zone, but the volume of rubber footwear production is very small, many companies switched to plastics.
Currently, the production and administrative buildings of one of the leading Russian manufacturers of conveyor belts, GSK Red Triangle, are located on the territory of the plant. [4] As of 2016, GSK Red Triangle is one of the three largest manufacturers of conveyor belts in the Russian Federation.
The only factory in Russia producing tires for bicycles, motorcycles and agricultural tires, the founder of which was the production organized in 1860 on the Red Triangle, also operates on the territory. Initially, TRARM Triangle produced crewed massive rubber tires. These tires were called: "Mars" red and black-gray, "Special" red, "Extra" black-gray.
In addition to industrial organizations, some rooms are leased for offices, especially in the current “Red Triangle” of recording studios and the provision of rehearsal rooms for music groups. There is also a restaurant and cafe on the territory; at the beginning of 2011, the Baikonur music club was opened. Since 2014, the studio of the famous St. Petersburg video blogger Dmitry "Goblin" Puchkov has been working here.
There is a project for the reconstruction of the entire territory of the "Triangle", transforming the former industrial zone on the Obvodny Canal into the center of the underground and rock culture (into which it is actually turning to some extent spontaneously). Galoshes production workshops are planned to be converted into exhibition and concert halls, and theaters, museums, clubs, and creative workshops will be located in them. The organizers of the project declare their intention to turn the depressed area of the city into an art center, preserving its historical name - “Triangle”.
