Psychalgia is a psychogenic phantom pain (usually a headache), often observed with neurosis. Sometimes (in panic attacks ) it is accompanied by an affect of anxiety and fear. There is no true reason for pain, only a psychological perception of nonexistent pain takes place. [one]
