Career

Early years

Bordon began his career at the Botafogo Club Academy in Ribeiran Preto . At the age of 17, he became a São Paulo player, where he played until the end of 1999.

Stuttgart

In January 2000, Bordon joined the German club Stuttgart . The Brazilian quickly went through adaptation in the new club and eventually became one of the best central defenders in the Bundesliga . September 16, 2003 Bordon made his debut in the Champions League in a match against the Scottish Rangers club (1: 2). Marcelo was known not only for high defensive skills, but also for an effective game in attack. On March 28, 2004, he scored a hat-trick against the Werder Bremen [4] .

Schalke 04

Brazil national team
