The capacity of the oil refinery is 6.6 million tons per year. The structure of the enterprise includes 4 units of primary oil refining, 2 units of catalytic reforming ; kerosene hydrotreatment unit; diesel hydrotreatment unit; oil production; bitumen production.
The enterprise’s prospects include reconstruction and technical re-equipment of production: construction of a new, modern loading rack, which will solve the issues of efficiency and environmental safety; construction of a pentane-hexane fraction isomerization unit to improve the quality of gasolines [1] [2] .
A set of technological processes allows producing about 30 types of various products: gasoline , diesel fuel , oil , jet fuel , bitumen , fuel oil .
In 2005, the Orsk Oil Refinery processed 3 589.56 thousand tons of crude oil. It produced 543.4 thousand tons of gasoline, 1 010.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel, which is 130% of 2004 volumes. In 2005, the company produced 133.6 thousand tons of oil.
December 22, 2005 OJSC “Orsknefteorgsintez” became part of the vertically integrated oil holding “ RussNeft ”.
In 2011 , Orsknefteorgsintez processed 5 million 253.1 thousand tons of crude oil. The volume of gasoline production amounted to more than 741.9 thousand tons. More than 1 million 506.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel, more than 56 thousand tons of oils, 272 thousand tons of RT fuel were produced [3] .
In July 2011 , RussNeft , co-owned by Mikhail Gutseriev , announced the sale of the company. As the newspaper Kommersant noted, referring to unnamed sources, the buyer was a group of foreign investors associated with the Kazakh market, and the transaction amount was not more than $ 700 million [4] . However, a little later the same publication, referring to a source close to the deal, referred to the structure of Mikhail Gutseriev himself as a buyer [5] .
On September 15, 2011 , Vedomosti reported that the Cypriot company Sermules Enterprises Limited became the new owner of the refinery, owning 92.2% of the ordinary shares of Orsknefteorgsintez. From the text of the company's mandatory offer to buy back the remaining 7.8% of the securities from the market (the document was published by Aton depository), the final beneficiary of this Cyprus company is a citizen of Kazakhstan, Igor Vladimirovich Shkolnik, the son of the former vice-premier of the country and ex-deputy head of the presidential administration of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik , who now heads the state-owned company Kazatomprom [6] . The transaction price was about $ 280 million US dollars. As part of the production modernization program, in 2012, the Orsk Oil Refinery began to implement the project for the construction of the Isomalk-2 isomerization complex [7] .
The director of PJSC Orsknefteorgsintez is Vladimir Pilyugin [8] .
