Biography
Born in Moscow.
Before the war he graduated from the 7th grade and worked at the Trekhgornaya manufactory plant as a turner. He was sent to the Northern Fleet Air Force training battalion.
From April 1944 to June 1944, air reconnaissance (Vaenga settlement) was carried out at the front-line aerodrome of the Northern Fleet’s VAENGA Air Force.
From June 1944 to May 1945 - the Naval Aviation School in Perm (formerly Molotov).
From May 1945 to May 1950, the Japanese War, a separate marine long-range reconnaissance 50th Aviation Regiment - Art. sergeant (flew on the Catalina American seaplane from Kamchatka to China and Korea - foreman of the squadron). Produced aerial surveys. [one]
Member of the Great Patriotic War and the Soviet-Japanese Wars, served in the Northern Fleet and the Pacific Fleets. He was discharged from the army in 1951. After demobilization, he gets a job as a photo lab assistant in the magazine “Spark” , while at the same time studying in an evening school (School for Worker Youth).
In 1960 - without interruption from work, graduated from Moscow State University , Faculty of Philology.
In 1953 - in the "Spark" published his first photograph in the central press - "the funeral of Stalin." The photograph was mounted out of fourteen frames, since in addition to the “50 mm” lens, he had no other lenses, and the “ FED ” was taken from a friend. The topics of his reports are extreme events: in conjunction with climbers, climbing the Pamirs, descent in a hydrostat to the bottom of the Barents Sea, flying with air acrobats - Yak-18 aircraft during the execution of the “dead loop” in the head-to-head position, strength test new models of cars on the racetrack, shooting the film "Striped Flight" on board the ship ...
