Frozen pregnancy (“non-developing pregnancy”, ST) - abnormal cessation of fetal development in early pregnancy due to some violations of the normal course of pregnancy. Diagnosed mainly in the first trimester of pregnancy. It ends with fetal death and premature termination of pregnancy .
Indicators of missed pregnancy:
- Analysis for hCG ( human chorionic gonadotropin ) - the level of hCG does not increase or decreases.
- Ultrasound of the pelvic organs - there is no dynamics of the development of the fetus, or a fetal egg - without an embryo (anembryony), the embryo is absent with a fetal egg larger than 25 mm.
