Content
History
Developed in China for arming the Air Force of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLAAF) and the Pakistani Air Force (PAF). The PL-12 looks very similar to the AIM-120 AMRAAM rocket, equipped with a Chinese-made dual-mode solid-fuel engine. In mid-2002, the first launches of the PL-12 were made from a multi-purpose fighter Su-30MKK (J-13) of the Chinese Air Force.
