The administrative center is Kalga village.

Geography

The district is located in the south-east of the Trans - Baikal Territory . It has a border with China on the river. Argun The spurs of the Nerchinsky ridge are located in the district. Hilly-ridgy and low-hill elevated plains with heights of 500–700 m are widespread. In the east of the district there is a valley of the r. Argun There are deposits: Big Koruy - alluvial gold placer, Gurulevskoye arsenic deposit, Doninsky ore rhodonite deposit, Zapokrovskoye arsenic deposit, Irunovskoye polymetallic deposit, Kadainsk polymetallic deposit, Kalazirga - deposit of placer gold, Kozlovsky deposit of octane, octopus placer gold, etc.

The climate is sharply continental. The average temperature in July is +18 ÷ +20 ° C (maximum +39 ° C), in January –26 ÷ –28 ° C (absolute. Minimum –53 ° C). The average annual rainfall is 350–500 mm. The growing season is from 120 to 150 days. Meal-carbonate and carbonate-free or low-carbonate deep-freezing chernozems are common. On river valleys - alluvial-meadow deep-freezing, mountain frozen-taiga sod, frozen-meadow meadow-forest. Tansy steppes are widespread, in some places in combination with elmnik and apricot thickets. The middle-mountain larch forests with the longroof from the wild rosemary are replaced by the birch grass forests in the contact zone of the taiga and steppe formations and the birch forests in combination with the tansy steppes and steppe grassy meadows.

Convert the following locations:

4) on the territory of the Kalgansky district:

a) the village of Bura by selecting, without entailing a change in the boundaries of the rural settlement “Burinskoe” , a rural settlement with its assignment to the category of village with the intended name - Bura 1st;

b) Dono village by selecting, without entailing a change in the borders of the rural settlement “Donovskoe” , a rural settlement with its assignment to the category of the village with the intended name - Dono 1st;

c) the village of Kadaya by highlighting, without entailing a change in the boundaries of the rural settlement “Kadainskoye” , a rural settlement with its assignment to the category of the village with the intended name - Kadaya 2nd;

d) the village of Nizhny Kalgukan by highlighting, without involving changes in the boundaries of the rural settlement “Nizhne-Kalgukanskoe” , a rural settlement with its assignment to the category of the village with the intended name - Nizhny Kalgukan 1st;

Order of the Government of Russia of October 11, 2018 No. 2186-p was given the name of the newly formed settlement - Kadaya village 1 [12] .

Economy

Until the mid- 1990s , underground mining of polymetallic ores at the Blagodatsky mine, the Kadainsky mine of the Nerchinsky polymetallic combine was carried out in the area. The processing of agricultural raw materials, the production of bread and bakery products. Agricultural enterprises specialize in sheep farming, grain cultivation. Agricultural production is conducted by: the Donovskiy collective farm (p. Dono ), the Bura co-farm (the Bura village ), the Verkhne-Kalgukansky state farm (the Verkhny Kalgukan village ), the Zapokrovsky co-farm (the Shivia village ), the Rassvet "( P. Chuprovo ), cooperative economy" Victory "(p. Chingiltui ), etc.

Education and culture

For the year 2000, there were 11 day-time general education institutions, 12 libraries, 14 clubs, 2 hospitals and 10 feldsher-obstetric centers. On the territory of the district there is a monument of architecture and town planning, the current St. Nicholas Church (p. Dono ). There is a weekly newspaper "Native Land."
