Story
The young man and the girl meet in the evening around the fire. The girl asks a question about the starry sky, and a romantic dialogue is started between the interlocutors. She asks: if the universe is infinite, then there should be infinitely many stars in it and then the night sky should be flooded with uniform white light . Why is the sky dark at night? The young man in figurative expressions, poems and quotations of famous scientists ( Giordano Bruno , Albert Einstein , Fritz Houtermans ) tells about the solar system , galaxies , the Universe . The logical conclusion of Burov: “The universe is finite . It ends where the speed of galaxies is close to the speed of light . ” The film ends with the fact that the girl is leaving with her young man, who came after her on a motorcycle.
