World History
The books contain an artistic description of alternative views on world history. Among the highlights are:
- The desire of the "priests", that is, people who have retained telepathic abilities , possessing ancient knowledge, lead mankind to destruction in the hope that God will intervene in this process by entering into dialogue with them - this dialogue is the goal of the priests.
- The split of Jews into Christians and Jews was created by the same priests to create strife between these groups of people.
Public Impact of Books
Using the Ideas of the "Tribal Estates"
Alexander Borodai, Deputy Head of the Office of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Pskov Region, suggested using the idea of a “family estate” for keeping prisoners:
A new approach to the maintenance of convicts is described in the books of Vladimir Megre. In short, it looks like this. Take, for example, 100 people convicted, well, let them be for 10 years. We settle them on a plot of 100 hectares, allocating each hectare of land on which there is a house. The common area is enclosed, as expected, with barbed wire and guards. And all his life, a person lives on his land: he plants a forest, a garden, a vegetable garden, breeds animals, communicates with relatives. All this cleanses, reveals his soul. So much so that after the deadline we will need to ... just remove the barbed wire. One settlement will be more, and less than 100 criminals [10] .
Family Homestead Bill
In April 2013, State Duma deputies from the LDPR , headed by State Duma Deputy Speaker Igor Lebedev, introduced draft law No. 269542-6 “On patrimonial estates” and a related bill No. 269545-6 on amendments to existing laws [11] [ 12] , which involves the issuance to each Russian citizen of at least 1 hectare of land for a family estate. According to the proposed bill, citizens with a family estate will be exempted from taxes on manufactured products and on the land itself, on all residential buildings on this site. The land, buildings and products will not be levied upon the obligations of the citizen and members of his family. The owners of the plots will have to build an estate on this land, farm buildings, open enterprises that do not pollute the environment. Build multi-unit housing is prohibited. The estate should have a park and grow crops. In addition, such a site cannot be bought, sold, mortgaged, leased, divided into parts or transferred to a legal entity. Also, the family estate cannot be confiscated, seized for state or municipal needs [13] [14] [15] .
The Belgorod governor Yevgeny Savchenko believes that "a significant part of the rural territories of Russia can be revived at present only at the expense of patrimonial estates" and suggested that President Vladimir Putin support the bill on patrimonial estates [16] .
During the consideration of the draft Federal Law N 269542-6 “On Patrimonial Estates”, the experts established in it the presence of significant shortcomings, including contradictions with the existing land legislation, which do not allow the document to be regarded either as a draft law or as a regulatory legal act [17] .
According to some experts, the idea of a "family estate" was borrowed by LDPR deputies from the informal social movement "Anastasians", whose leader was the writer V. Megre [18] .
In December 2015, bill No. 269542-6 was rejected [11] . Consideration of draft law No. 269545-6 in June 2015 was postponed by decision of the State Duma Council, and in January 2016 it was returned to the initiator as introducing amendments to the law that expired and was also withdrawn from consideration [12] .
Far Eastern Hectare Bill
A similar bill No. 930602-6 [19] on the free provision of hectares of land in the Far East has been submitted to the RF Ministry of Economic Development [20] ; in December 2015, it was adopted on first reading; the estimated date of entry into force is May 1, 2016 [19] .
Reliability of events
Megre in his books declares [21] about the reliability of the events described in the previous books.
On January 23, 2001, a trial was held between Megre and Olga Stukova on the exclusive right in the name of the forest woman Anastasia, in which representatives of Vladimir Megre brought a suit personally signed by Megre, stating that “Anastasia” is “an image-symbol, that is, an independent artistic an image that has an emotionally allegorical meaning ” [22] [23] [24] . Based on this, critics of the books conclude [25] that Megre publicly acknowledged the fictitious nature of Anastasia and, therefore, all other related events described in the books.
Criticism
Doctor of Historical Sciences , Presbyter P. M. Ivanov criticizes Megre for factual errors, for tearing pieces out of context when quoting the Bible , for referring to neopagan sources [26] . The text style of the books is also criticized.
In 2004, the book by A. G. Ivakin “Anti Anastasia. For whom do cedars ring? ” [25] .
In it, in particular, attention is drawn to the following geographical discrepancy: in one of the books Megre writes:
Why did the Old Testament Moses leave for a long time in the mountain forest, and then returned from there, revealing to the world the wisdom set forth on the tablets of stone? [27]
In reply Megre states:
Books need to be divided into two parts. Where the monologues Anastasia speaks, well, and where I also write something from myself. I will talk about the part where Anastasia’s monologues are, I won’t touch myself ... [28]
apparently, implying that there are no such inconsistencies in Anastasia’s monologues .
As an argument in the direction of the fiction of the events described in the books, a fragment with a description of a flying saucer is also given :
- And what are the walls of the flying saucer made of?
- They are grown.
- Like this?
“Well, you wonder, instead of thinking.” Many people grow mushrooms in different vessels, which makes the water into which they are placed tasty and slightly sour. This mushroom takes the form of the vessel in which it is located. This mushroom, by the way, is very similar to a flying saucer, and it makes double walls. If another microorganism is added to its water, solidification will occur, but this so-called microorganism can be developed or, more precisely, generated by the efforts of the brain, well, the will, as it were, of a vivid presentation.- V. Megre, Anastasia, chapter Flying Saucer? Nothing special"
... as well as a fragment offering a possible solution to the pollution problems of modern cities:
“Ahead, well, what’s what they call it?”
“ Bumper ,” I helped her.
- So the bumper. Inside or under it, you need to attach a box with holes in its upper part, there should also be holes in the back so that the air comes out. During the movement of these machines, dusty harmful air streams will enter the front holes, be cleaned, and twenty percent of the air that has already been cleaned will exit the rear holes.- V. Megre, “Anastasia”, chapter “The brain is a supercomputer”
Criticism of a series of books and movements is contained in the publications of the Center for Religious Studies of the Holy Communities. Irenaeus of Lyons [29] [30] , speeches by A.L. Dvorkina [31] , on the website "Ukraine Sectarian" [32] .
Edits of new editions
In the later editions of his books, Megre made significant changes to the text. In particular, dubious statements were removed, factology corrected [25] .
Possibly, there are illegal editions of the book, about which the publishing house "Dilya" warns in the annotation for each book :
Illegal reprints of softback books have appeared on the book market, which carry distortions. Only books with a special mark on the cover — an embossed gold foil depicting the logo of the “Ringing Cedars of Russia” logo — are genuine, undistorted works agreed upon with the author.
