Origin of title
The passage, as well as the Red Gate Square , is named after the Red Gate , which was built in the 18th century as a triumphal arch. In the XIX century, the lane was called Sapopozhnichesky - by the name of the homeowner.

Description
Krasnovorotsky passage connects Kalanchevskaya and Novaya Basmannaya streets, running from west to east. These three streets form a triangle of Lermontov Square. All the buildings in the driveway are located on one - the north - side of the passage.
