Santinho Lopez Monteiro ( port. Santinho Lopes Monteiro ; born February 16, 1979 , Rotterdam , Netherlands ) is a Cape Verde footballer , a player of the Racing club. He played on the positions of the striker and right winger for the Dutch teams Valveik , Roosendaal , Excelsior and AGOVV .

Club career
Santinho Lopez Monteiro began his football career in the youth teams of GLZ and Spartan '20 from Rotterdam . In 1998, he signed a contract with Valveik club from the city of the same name . Monteiro made his team debut on September 20 in the Eredivisi match against Heerenveen , replacing him in the 73rd minute. The meeting ended with a major defeat for his team with a score of 0: 4.
In January 1999, Santinho was leased for the remainder of the season to Roosendaal , who at that time played in Erstedivisi . In the new team, he played 15 matches and scored 2 goals, and after the end of the lease as a free player, he moved to the Excelsior Rotterdam. In his first season at Excelsior, he played for the youth squad and only once appeared on the field as part of the first team.
In the 2000/01 season Santinho regularly played for the main squad, having played 22 matches and scoring 3 goals. For the first time in his club, he scored on December 16, 2000, scoring two goals against Wendham . That season, his team finished second in the championship.
In 2001, Santinho moved to the club AGOVV , which played in one of the lowest division of the Netherlands, where many teams had amateur status. Only in 2003, the club made it to the First Division of the Netherlands. For three seasons in the first division, Lopez Monteiro spent 123 matches for the club and scored 27 goals. In July 2007, the club terminated his contract. In October 2007, he could go to Den Bos [1] , but in the end the contract was not signed. Monteiro later played for amateur teams.
