Perm Perm Car Repair Plant Remputmash is an engineering company in Russia located in Perm . The plant is the main enterprise for the production and repair of wheelsets for all major types of track equipment , their share in the total volume of production is 40%. Today, the company produces samples of technological equipment, an extensive range of spare parts for track equipment, and consumer goods.

History
The plant was founded on May 21, 1878 as the Main Railway Workshops of the city of Perm. The production facilities of the enterprise were designed for small current and major repairs of steam locomotives . The scope of work in the Main workshops increased year by year. In 1894 , for example, 23 steam locomotives were repaired, and in 1915 - 56.
In 1927, by order of the NKPS, Perm railway workshops were renamed the Perm Locomotive Repair Plant named after A. A. Shpagin .
In 1964, a change in the profile of the plant took place; repair of railway equipment was mastered at the enterprise. 1964 - mastering the repair of railcar to AGMu, 1972 - VHI, 1975 - DGKu.
In 1976, the company was transformed into the Perm Automobile Repair Plant named after A. A. Shpagin.
In 1978, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for high production achievements and in connection with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Perm Automobile Repair Plant named after A. A. Shpagin, he was awarded the Order of Honor .
1983 - the production of railcar AGMs was mastered.
1995 - the machine-building direction becomes a priority at the enterprise. For three years, production of new models of track equipment has been mastered: UP-3M, UR-1M, MB, MZSh, AGMS-1M machines and others.
In 1996, by the decision of the coordinating committee of the Partnership for Progress international program, the plant was awarded the Silver Disk honorary prize for high development indicators in a transitional economy.
The plant was awarded with diplomas of the International exhibitions of track machines in Kaluga in 1998 , 1999 , 2000 and 2002 .
In 2000, the plant was awarded the Vozrozhdenie-2000 Prize by the ADM International Association for a significant contribution to the development of the industry.
In 2000, the company mastered the production of a set of parts for unlined rail fastening ZhBR-65 .
In 2002, the ADM Business Consulting organization awarded the plant with the Industry Leader prize.
Since January 1, 2006, in connection with the formation of the Remputmash railway engineering group of companies, the company became known as the Perm Joint-Stock Company Remputmash Repair Plant.
In September 2017, the authorities of the Perm Territory announced a decision to close the section of the Gornozavodsky direction from Perm II to Motovilikha. In November, an agreement was signed with the owners on the acquisition of the property complex of the Perm MRZ [1] .
In February 2019, the site became the property of the region. Now it is a cultural and recreational space where various events are held. Among the recent ones - a school of guides, Red Market, the National Forest Forum, etc.
The Shpagin plant will become the central part of the cultural and recreational cluster in the Egoshikhi River Valley [2] . The former production site will house a museum of modern art, a local history museum and an art gallery [3] . It is planned that they will move there at the end of 2022.
Owners and management
The main shareholder of the company is JSC Russian Railways (99.99%).
The powers of the sole executive body were transferred to the managing organization of OJSC Kaluga Plant Remputmash .
