Shadow of the Raven ( » skugga hrafnsins ) is a film by the Icelandic director Hrabn Gudnleugsson , filmed in 1988 . Not a direct continuation of the film “ Raven Flight, ” the film is nevertheless the next in a series of films made by Hrabn about the Vikings of Iceland. In the main female role, the sister of the director Tinn Gudnloyigsdottir starred.

Story
Iceland, 1077 The young Viking Trausti returns to his homeland, who immediately becomes involved in the bloody feud between his clan and the Eric clan. In a skirmish, Eric dies, and the young man rescues his daughter Isolde from the burning house, but she accuses Trausti of the death of his father. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the young woman is the bride of the bishop's son.
The bishop is selected as the judge in the conflict, who forces Trausti to fight with his son Hörleifur. The young man manages to win, while he spares the enemy, after which the girl’s attitude to Trausti changes dramatically - she even wants to become his wife. At the council, the girl requires the Viking to give her all his property, noting that the one who sacrifices everything can get everything. Trausti agrees, then Isolde announces their engagement.
The bishop agrees to the marriage, persuades Grim - the killer to steal the daughter of Isolde Sol and burn the estate of Trausti. In this case, Isolde dies. The young man, however, manages to survive, then Hörleifur tries to boil him in the boiling water of the bath built on a geyser . In the finale, a new duel takes place between the Vikings, during which the bishop's son dies. Trausti adopts Sol.
