Life
Jean-Christophe was born in Saint-Raphael, Var department, in the family of Charles Marie Jerome Victor Napoleon Bonaparte and Princess Beatrice of Bourbon-Sicily (from the branch of the rulers of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies ), daughter of Prince Ferdinand, Duke of Castro, a former contender for primacy in the royal house of the Bourbons - the rulers of the Kingdom of Both Sicilies. He is the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Napoleon I.
His grandfather, Prince Louis Napoleon , who died in 1997 , indicated in his will that he wanted to see Jean-Christophe as his heir [1] .
