Yew

Yew ( lat.Táxus ) - a genus of plants of the family Yew ( Taxaceae ). Species of the genus are slow- growing trees or shrubs with a height of 1 to 10 m. The trunk diameter can reach 4 m. Yew wood has been used for many centuries to make bows and spears.

The origin of the Russian name of the plant is unclear [2] . Some sources also use the spelling "yew" [3] [4] with two letters "c" at the end of the word.
