Evergreen shrubs.

The leaves are succulent, oblong, triangular, glabrous, pubescent, opposite, glossy or matte.

The flowers are small or large, similar to jugs and having tubular, flat petals, at the ends, at the openings of which there are 5 petals bent back.

The berries are waxy, white, white-yellowish, rounded.
