Karajaoren (formerly New Estonian ; tour. Karacaören , est. Uus-Estonia ) - a village in Kars silt, Turkey .
After the Kars province withdrew from the Ottoman Empire to Russia in 1878 , the Russian administration began a program for the resettlement of the territory. Among the settlers was a group of Estonian peasants from under the city of Rakvere (84 families). In 1886, 5 km from Kars, they founded the village of Newestonka.
In 1913, New Estonian belonged to the Magardzhik rural district of the Kars section of the Kars district . In the village lived 229 people.
After the outbreak of the First World War , in 1915 , some Estonian settlers left the Kars region, however, some of them returned in 1920 . In 1921, the Kars region was transferred to Turkey, and Estonian settlers were almost isolated from contacts with the outside world, since Kars became a border territory that was closed to foreigners.
In the 1960s, many Estonians from New Estonian emigrated to the USSR and Germany . In the early 2000s, 4 people of Estonian descent lived in Newestonok.
