Description
The Amity Affliction became famous before the release of their first album. The first demo and recording of the State Of Affair split with Perish The Thought and Miles Away, as well as their joint performance with Silverstein, allowed the team to gain a lot of fans.
In 2005, The Amity Affliction released the eponymous mini-album. There were 6 songs in it - one changed and renamed (the song “Severance” - formerly called “Here's to the Burning of Rotted Memories”) and five new songs.
The vocal parts in the band are distributed among three participants: the main vocals with strong screaming (vocalist Joel); calm and melodic vocals (guitarist Ahren); and heavy scream (guitarist Troy).
For the first full-length album, the style of the group has changed a lot, the original hardcore sound is being transformed into a more melodic post-hardcore and melodic hardcore .
