Geography
The total area of the ceremonial county is 6959 km² [1] ; the territory of the non-metropolitan county without unitary units North Lincolnshire and Northeast Lincolnshire - 5921 km² [2] . It is washed in the east by the North Sea, bordered in the south-east by Norfolk , in the south by Cambridgeshire , in the south-west by Ratland and Leicestershire , in the west by Nottinghamshire , in the north-west by South Yorkshire , in the north by East Yorkshire .
History
Until 1974 it was divided into 3 administrative parts: Holland , Kestiven and Lindsay .
Demographics
According to 2004 data, the total population of the ceremonial county was 988 thousand people.
In 1971, the population was 808.3 thousand people [3] .

Economics
Lincolnshire is a predominantly agricultural area with a predominant importance of crop production, combined with livestock. Mining of iron ore ( Frodingham area). Food industry, agricultural engineering ( Lincoln and Boston ), metallurgy ( Scunthorpe ), petrochemicals ( Immingham ). A large fishing port is Great Grimsby [3] .
