Kusaki ( Latin: Aëdes ) is a genus of mosquitoes distributed in tropical and subtropical zones in the vicinity of people. Found on all continents except Antarctica . These mosquitoes are small with white stripes on the body and on the knees. Several species of this genus carry diseases dangerous to humans.

Systematics
The genus includes about 700 species. It also has several subgenera ( Aëdes , Diceromyia , Finlaya , Stegomyia , etc.), which have already been given the status of an independent genus. [one]
Etymology
The name was given to the family by the German entomologist Johann Wilhelm Meigen in 1818 and it comes from the word Greek. ἀηδής - unpleasant, vile, disgusting. This name was given to him due to the fact that he is a carrier of diseases, for example, yellow fever and dengue fever .
