Pipe - a small section of pipe connected ( rolled , riveted , welded ) to the tank and other structures, used to connect pipelines and fittings to them in order to divert gas, steam or liquid through it. Depending on the type of connection adopted, the free end of the nozzle is provided with a flange , thread or socket . A pipe is called a transition pipe when it has ends that are not uniform in size and shape. Branch pipe - also connects pipelines used to transport working fluids under the action of a pressure difference.
