The Kremenchug Reservoir ( ukr. Kremenchutsk Water Conservancy ) is one of six large reservoirs on the Dnieper River , located in central Ukraine . Cherkasy , Kirovograd and Poltava region are adjacent to it. The rivers Sula , Ros and Tyasmin flow into it.

Description
The Kremenchug reservoir covers an area of 2,252 km² and contains about 13.5 km³ of water. Its length is 149 km with a maximum width of 28 km. The greatest depth of the reservoir is 28 m. The average depth is 6 m. It is the largest reservoir in the area in Ukraine [1] . It is of great importance for fisheries , besides on its banks there are large fish breeding enterprises.
The dam of the lake, built between 1959 and 1961, is located 15 km west of Kremenchug , near Svetlovodsk , where the large Kremenchug hydroelectric station is located. On the top of the dam passes the highway and the railway.
The reservoir is a place for recreation and fishing [2] .
