The Most Progressive NBA Player ( NBA Most Improved Player Award ) - A prize for an NBA player who has made maximum progress during the regular season has been awarded since the 1985–86 season . Sports journalists from the US and Canada vote for the top three players on the list. For the first place, 5 points are awarded, for the second 3, and for the third - 1. The basketball player who scored the most points according to the voting results is recognized as the most progressive player of the season.
The award was awarded 30 times. No player has received a reward twice. To date, the final winner is Indiana Pacers player Victor Oladipo . Only six prize winners - Hedo Turkoglu , Roni Seikali , Gheorghe Mureshan , Boris Dyao , Goran Dragich , Yannis Adetokunbo - were born outside the United States. Boris Diao and Kevin Love are the only prize winners to become NBA champions .
