South African provinces

The Republic of South Africa is divided into nine provinces ( Tswana diporofense ; sesotho diprovense ; northern soto diprofense ; Africa. Provinsies ; Zulu izifundazwe ; southern Ndebele iimfunda ; spit amaphonanku ; Swat tifundza ; Venda mavunḓu ; Tsonga swifundzankoo ; Swat tifundza ; Venda mavunḓu ; Tsonga swifundzankoo ; Swat tifundza ; Venda mavunḓu ; Tsonga swifundzankoo ; Swat tifundza ; Venda mavunḓu ; In 1994, the Bantustans were reintegrated, and nine of them and the four existing provinces were formed.

As a result of the administrative reform of 1994 (conducted to eliminate the remnants of the apartheid regime), nine provinces were formed. In 1995, the Pretoria - Witwatersrand - Ferinhing , Eastern Transvaal and Northern Transvaal provinces were renamed Gauteng , Mpumalanga and Northern provinces respectively. In 2003, the Northern Province was renamed to Limpopo Province . In 2006, the provincial administrative boundaries underwent a number of changes.

Until 1994, South Africa was divided into 4 provinces: Cape , Natal , Orange Free State and Transvaal . The old division reflected the historical development of statehood in South Africa; In addition, South Africa was originally a union of these four territories.
