Career

Club

Pablo Barrera is a graduate of the UNAM Pumas club, where he played from the age of 12. In the first team, he made his debut at Apertour on November 19, 2005 against the Tigres club, in which Pumas lost 1: 3. His first goal for the adult club Barrera scored against Monarkas in 2007, shortly thereafter Barrera became the player of the Pumas base, and then the footballer received a call from the Mexico national team, which was coached by Ugo Sanchez . In July 2008, Barrera suffered a severe injury to his right knee, after which he was appointed for a recovery period of about six months. After rebuilding, Barrera returned to duty and helped the club win Clausura of the Mexico Championship in 2009.

On July 16, 2010, Barrera joined West Ham United , signing a 4-year contract; transfer amount was 4 million pounds [2] [3] .

International

As part of the youth team of Mexico, Barrera participated in the Youth World Championship in Canada, in which he scored 2 goals - to the gates of the national teams of Portugal and Congo .

October 17, 2007 Barrera played his first match in the national team of Mexico against Guatemala .
