Nikolai Alekseevich Yakimchuk (born April 16, 1961 , Leningrad ) - poet, playwright, director. He studied at the Faculty of Journalism of Leningrad State University . He worked in the Leningrad newspapers. Editor-in-chief of the almanac "Petropol". Since 1989, he has published more than 450 books of poetry and prose by contemporary authors. Founder and coordinator of the Tsarskoye Selo Art Prize (since 1993 ) and the Petropol Prize (since 1999). Author and director of 27 feature films and documentaries. Many films were participants and winners of international film festivals in Russia, Romania, France, Tunisia, Chile and others. Author and host of the TV program Tsarskoye Selo Meetings on the TV channel HERE! Member of the Guild of playwrights of Russia, member of the Guild of playwrights of St. Petersburg, member of the Union writers of St. Petersburg.
