Story
The action of the film, based on a classic literary basis, has been transferred to modern Los Angeles . Ivan Beckman (Houston), an influential producer and boss of an art agency, is dying. What is behind death: illness or drug overdose, self-choice or murder? Starting the storytelling with a tragic ending, the authors then chronologically return to the days of the highest success of Beckman and his company. Intemperance in sex and alcohol. Inner loneliness is a payment for publicity and success. Relatively traditional stamps of the life of the Hollywood film-bohemia. But the speech in the film is about the tragedy of man. He had long wanted to call for help, but did not know how to do it.
