Content

History

The main content of the activity of the flamethrower is the conduct of hostilities to destroy manpower, weapons and military equipment, engineering structures and vehicles on the battlefield and behind enemy lines, creating fires, and setting up smoke screens .

To give the flamethrower team mobility, a special modification of the BMP is developed and is in service with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - the combat vehicle of flamethrowers .

Knapsack flamethrowers are used to equip one soldier. Heavy flamethrowers require a combat crew of several people.

The history of the flamethrower profession is closely related to the history of their main weapon .

The first combat use of the flamethrower was made by the German army on July 30, 1915, during the First World War ^[1] .
