“ Alakazam the Great ”, known in Japan as “Sayyuki” ( 西遊記 , “Journey to the West”) is a 1960 Japanese animation film based on the Chinese legend “ Journey to the West ”. The anime was shot on the same-name manga by Osamu Tezuki , and in the credits he was called the director. However, Tezuka later explained that he appeared in the studio only to pose for photographers. [one]

Story
Alakazam ( Sun Wukong ) is a young and brave monkey who convinces other monkeys to make him their king. After gaining power and learning magic, Alakadzam becomes conceited and goes to heaven to challenge the gods.
