Shadow Zone ( Russian Shadow Zone ) is the third studio album of the metal band Static-X , released on October 7, 2003 [1] . The album ranked number 20 on the Billboard 200 [2] .

About the album
Shadow Zone is the first album in which guitarist Tripp Eisen helped compose and record lyrics and music. To make a studio recording of the album drummer Josh Freese was invited, because just before the beginning of the recording of the Shadow Zone , Ken Jay left the band due to musical and political differences with other members. Later, Nick Oshiro , a former member of the South African band Seether , joined the band. After the concert performances, he was finally selected as the new and permanent drummer of Static-X . Ulrich Wilde was at this time making the record, and Josh Abraham became the new producer of the group [3] . Under his leadership, the group has enriched its music with elements of groove metal . According to the musicians, remaining faithful to their corporate style, they tried on this album new techniques that touched both the composition and the recording process.
The disc was called the most powerful thing in the history of the group.

- says Wayne Static about the Shadow Zone . Tripp joined us this time, and this is the first time I've dealt with a songwriting partner. It was a novelty for me because he wrote some of the songs and they all went into the album.

Shadow Zone is also available on a DVD called X-Posed . The DVD was produced by Troy Wallace from Speedway Films and directed by At Rothlein.
