Etar is a former Bulgarian football club from the city of Veliko Tarnovo , who played in Professional Football Group A. It was founded in 1924 by combining 7 city clubs, including “Glory”, “Victoria”, “Bulgaria” and “Phoenix”. In 1946, Etar merged with the Yunak club, establishing the Etir Yunak Sports Association. Until 1985, another 7 clubs of the city were included in the society. In 2002, on the basis of this association and the Loviko club (Sukhin Dol), the Etir 1924 team was created, which received professional status and was declared in the third division of Bulgaria.

The only club in Bulgaria with purple in its club colors. The owner of the club is Turkish businessman Feyzi Ilhanli [1] .
