Biography
Born October 23, 1919 in the village of Shatrishche now Korostensky district, Zhytomyr region ( Ukraine ) in a peasant family. Ukrainian . In 1936 he graduated from 8 classes of secondary school in the city of Korosten . He worked as a mechanic in the car-repair depot station Korosten.
In October 1939, drafted into the ranks of the Red Army . In the battles of World War II from June 1941. He fought in the North-West , West , 2nd and 1st Ukrainian fronts. He was wounded five times. In 1943 he graduated from the Ryazan Military Machine Gun and Mortar School. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944.
In January 1945, units of the division fought heavy offensive battles on the territory of Nazi Germany . Ahead was Oder . The Hitler command took all measures to stop the onslaught of our troops. The commander of a rifle platoon, Lieutenant N. I. Yanevich, in the battle for the locality Stein on the approaches to Oder in a difficult combat situation after the death of the commander took command of the company and was the first to force the river.
A fierce battle broke out on the Oder bridgehead . The Nazis had already rushed to the shore to drop troops into the water, but the Soviet soldiers managed to cling to the shore. At the command of N. After the war, he continued to serve in the Armed Forces of the USSR for some time. In May 1946, Senior Lieutenant N. I. Yanevich was transferred to the reserve for illness. He lived in his native village. He worked at the railway station Korosten. He died on November 15, 1957.
